Ma Prem Usha (November 3, 1937 – July 17, 2008) was an Indian tarot card reader and columnist. Usha, who was well known as a clairvoyant and fortune-teller both inside Indian and abroad, travelled extensively to read her tarot cards.
Ma Prem Usha Beginnings
Ma Prem Usha was a graduate of Isabella Thoburn College in Lucknow, India. It was during the 1970s that Usha was initiated into the order of Zen mystic, Osho, an Indian guru. She remained a follower and devotee of the teachings of Osho for over 30 years until her death in 2008.
She was consulted and interviewed extensively by Indian and international publications on her predictions. She also contributed weekly astrological writings and predictions to several major Indian newspaper, periodicals and websites. Her writings often touched on a wide variety of subjects including health, food, politics, fashion and people.

Usha and her grand daughter Amira Sultan Kapoor who is a sculptor and painter created a new deck of tarot cards called the Saakshi Tarot Deck which is based on symbology, Indian mythology and the five elements of nature (wood, fire, earth, metal and water). She authored 12 books on the twelve signs of the zodiac.

Tarot card reader Ma Prem Usha, an Osho devotee for over three decades, died on Thursday in the capital, a family member said. She was 70.
Her husband Raj Kapoor and daughter Ma Prem Ritambhara survive her.
“She died at 2 p.m.on Thursday afternoon. She had been ailing for sometime and was operated upon recently. But there was a relapse, from which she did not recover,” Raj Kapoor, a retired army colonel, told IANS.
She was cremated later on Thursday evening and ashes will be taken to Haridwar for immersion into the Ganga.
“Ma Prem Usha was a follower of Osho till the every end,” said Kapoor.
The clairvoyant and fortune-teller, who travelled the globe to read her cards, was initiated into the order of the Zen mystic Osho over 30 years ago. She was interviewed and written about in several national and international publications.
She contributed weekly readings to major websites and leading publications across the country and wrote on a wide range of subjects including politics, fashion, health, food, children, men and women.

Ma Prem Ritambhara is widely travelled and is the talented daughter and associate of the well known Tarot Card Reader, Ma Prem Usha. Ritambhara has received training from her and has been assisting her in all her work. She is especially well-known for her accurate and uncanny predictions and insights presented live on Sony Television during the Cricket World Cup held in S. Africa in 2003 and the Champions Trophy held in Sri Lanka in 2002.Ritambhara has been reading Tarot cards professionally in Mumbai, Pune, Zurich and New Delhi for the last seven years and continues to do so from her studio at the Taj Mansingh Hotel, New Delhi
